Eligibility Criteria
For Child Welfare Committee (CWC) Chairperson and Members:
- Qualifications: Degree, preferably in child psychology, psychiatry, law, social work, sociology, human health, education, human development, medicine, or special education for differently abled children from any recognized Indian University
- Essential Qualifications: Must be a resident of Andhra Pradesh
- Experience: Minimum of seven years of experience working with children in the field of health, education, or welfare activities, or should be a practicing professional with a degree in child psychology, psychiatry, law, social work, sociology, human health, education, human development, or special education for differently abled children
- Desirable: Person with unblemished record in rendering services for welfare of children with child-friendly attitude
For Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) Social Worker Members:
- Qualifications: Degree, preferably in child psychology, psychiatry, sociology, health sciences, education, or law from any recognized Indian University
- Essential Qualifications: Must be a resident of Andhra Pradesh
- Experience: At least seven years of experience working with children in education, health, or welfare activities, or should be a practicing professional with degree in child psychology, psychiatry, sociology, or law
- Desirable: Experience of working with Government in implementation of child related government programs for minimum period of 3 years
General Eligibility Conditions:
- Should not have any past record of violation of human rights or child rights
- Should not have been convicted of an offence involving moral turpitude
- Should not have been removed or dismissed from government service
- Should not be currently working in any government office or undertaking
- Should not have indulged in child abuse or employment of child labour
- Should not be holding full-time occupation that prevents necessary time for Board/Committee work
- Should not hold any office in any political party during tenure
- Should not be insolvent
- Should not be part of management of a child care institution (for CWC)
- Person associated with organization receiving foreign contribution not eligible (for CWC Chairperson/Members)
- Practicing Advocates must submit NOC from respective Bar Association/Council/Legal Services Authority
- Should not be associated with any Child Care Institution during tenure
Salary/Stipend
- These are tenure-based positions and not regular government jobs
- Appointees will receive honorarium/sitting allowance as fixed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh

General Information/Instructions
- These are tenure-based positions with a period of three years from date of appointment

- Appointment will be terminated if found guilty of misuse of power or fails to attend proceedings for continuous period of three months without valid reasons
- False claims about qualifications/credibility/achievements will result in rejection and 10-year debarment
- If criminal case is registered against member, Government may suspend immediately pending inquiry
