Eligibility Criteria
- Qualifications & Essential qualifications: (Varies by post)
- Library Science/Info Science; 5 years professional experience in a Library at Level 10 or above.
- Assistant Editor (Level 10 Deputation): Master’s Degree in Journalism/ Communication/ Social Science/ Literature; 5 years experience of editing, production and publication.
- Assistant Registrar (Level 10): Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks.
- Section Officer (Level 7): Bachelor’s Degree; 3 years experience as Assistant in Level 6 or 8 years as UDC in Level 4; Proficiency in Computer Operation, noting and drafting.
- Senior Research Assistant (Level 6): Master’s degree in Social Sciences (Mass Comm, Sociology, etc); 3 years research experience.
- Assistant (Level 6): Bachelor Degree; 3 Years experience as UDC in Level 4; Proficiency in Typing, Computer applications, noting and drafting.
- Professional Assistant (Level 6): Master’s in Library & Information Science with 2 years experience OR Bachelor’s in Library Science with 3 years experience; Knowledge of Computer Applications.

Selection Process
- Selection for all Group ‘A’ posts will be based on a written test, skill test, followed by an interview.
- Selection for Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’ posts will be based on a written test, followed by a skill test.
- Candidates must qualify in the written test/skill test to be called for the next stage as per criteria fixed by the Selection Committee.
- The Institute reserves the right to restrict the number of applicants called for the written test through shortlisting/screening.

- Applicants must possess the prescribed qualifications, experience, and eligibility criteria as of the closing date of applications.
- Suppression of factual information or providing false information will lead to disqualification/termination.
