Eligibility Criteria

  • Master of Social Work / MSc Psychology.
  • Fluency in English and Kannada is essential.
  • Research experience in suicide prevention will be considered an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of Telugu and Hindi languages will be considered an added advantage.
  • Experience in Excel and Google spreadsheets will be considered an added advantage.

Salary / Stipend

  • Emoluments: Rs. 25,000/- per month (Consolidated).

Age Limit 

  • Maximum Age: 40 Years.

Selection Process

  • Walk-in selection with written/skill test.
  • Resume, original marks cards, original testimonials, and set of photocopies will be reviewed at the time of interview.
  • Candidates are required to register their names half an hour before commencement of the written/skill test.

General Information / Instructions

  • NIMHANS is conducting a walk-in selection to fill the post of Field Officer on a contract basis for the project “Youth Mental Health and Self-Harm Study (YASHAS)” funded by the Indira Foundation.
  • Initial appointment will be made for six months and will be extendable every six months till the end of the 1-year project, depending on performance and project requirements.
  • Work involves emergency-based intervention for suicide-attempt and self-harm cases, telephone follow-up, and data entry in perform sheet and Google sheets.
  • Candidate should be ready to work in general hospitals in Karnataka.
  • No TA/DA will be paid for attending the written/skill test.
  • NOC is required from the Principal Investigator if working in projects (Extramural/Intramural) in NIMHANS.
  • Walk-in selection will be held at Boardroom, 4th Floor, NBRC Building Administrative Block, NIMHANS, Bengaluru–560029.
