Eligibility Criteria for DCI Contract Posts 2025
1. Educational Qualification
- Consultant for Inland Dredging: CoC as Master (FG) / Mate / Dredge Master (Grade I & II) / MEO Class I & II / Dredge Engineer Grade I & II / Master NCV / Degree in Civil/Mechanical/Marine/Dredging and Harbor Engineering.
- Project Manager: Diploma in Civil Engineering / Diploma in Survey Engineering / Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering / equivalent qualification from recognized institute approved by Govt. of India / any State Government.
- Hydrographic Surveyor: Diploma in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Survey Engineering / any equivalent qualification or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering recognized by Govt. of India / State Govt.
- Project Consultants (O/P): Master (FG) CoC or Dredge Master Grade I CoC.
- Information Technology Consultant: Engineering Graduate or MCA.
- Legal Consultant: 1st or 2nd class Degree in Law of recognized University.
- Resident Manager: I Class graduate from a recognized University, preferably with MBA.
- Assistant Company Secretary: Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.
2. Age Limit
- Consultant for Inland Dredging: 40 to 65 years.
- Project Manager: Below 45 years.
- Hydrographic Surveyor: Below 45 years.
- Project Consultants (O/P): Up to 50 years.
- Information Technology Consultant: Up to 45 years.
- Legal Consultant: Up to 45 years.
- Resident Manager: Up to 45 years.
- Assistant Company Secretary: Up to 45 years.
- Age calculation date: Age and experience shall be counted as on 03.12.2025.
3. Experience (Post-wise)
- Consultant for Inland Dredging: Minimum 10 years’ experience in dredging/Port/Marine/Shipping related operations, conversant with statutory certificates compliance.
- Project Manager: 6 years’ experience in civil engineering works/infrastructural development projects/marine construction projects etc., preferably in dredging/desiltation/Inland water works.
- Hydrographic Surveyor: 1 year experience in land/civil engineering survey works, preferably in Hydrographic surveys.
- Project Consultants (O/P): 6 years post-qualification experience after obtaining Master (FG) COC or Dredge Master Gr.1 COC, with knowledge of shipping procedures, execution of projects, contracts etc.
- Information Technology Consultant: 8 years’ experience in applications development/customisation in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations ERP with X++ and Visual Studio; functional & technical knowledge with Microsoft certification preferred.
- Legal Consultant: 10 years’ experience as practicing lawyer or in Legal Department; experience in arbitration and service matters desirable.
- Resident Manager: 8 years’ post-qualification experience, of which 2 years in liaison/clearances/PR, passports/visas/emigration, RBI/FX clearances etc.
- Assistant Company Secretary: At least 1 year post-qualification experience in Board Secretariat as Company Secretary/Assistant Secretary; experience in listed company preferred.

Selection Process for DCI Contract Posts 2025
- Candidates will be shortlisted based on information/declarations submitted in the online application form.
