Eligibility Criteria for VPA Marine Engineer Recruitment 2025
1. Educational Qualification
- MOT 1st Class Motor Certificate issued under the Merchant Shipping Act, 1958.
- Minimum one year post-qualification experience as Chief Engineer or 2nd Engineer on board a foreign going ship.
- Candidates will work in the Marine Department in F.C. Section supervising operation and maintenance of shipping tugs, dredgers, floating crane and high-powered launches as per detailed terms.
2. Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 40 years as on the date of walk-in interview.
- Maximum Age: 58 years as on the date of walk-in interview.
- Engagement is subject to medical fitness certified by the Chief Medical Officer of the Port Hospital before joining.
3. Nationality
- Notification is issued by Visakhapatnam Port Authority; candidates must otherwise meet eligibility and medical fitness conditions laid down by VPA.
